A Wedding Day Dream Come True

June 15, 20202019 has been a great year for Ink & Rose Events. Only in our second year of business, we have significantly grown. Not only did we reach our goal of weddings and events, we made new connections and friends along the way.
We started off the year with Layla and Steve’s wedding at Reptacular Ranch. This wedding was so beautiful, even with the downpour of rain right before the bride walked down the aisle. Once the rain stopped (with enough time for a quick ceremony), our team was on top of it with a Costco size bag of towels to dry the benches and ensure all the guests were comfortable. We got to experience our first Kransekake wedding cake and enjoyed a Karaoke band. If you have never experienced a karaoke band, do this immediately. It was the coolest thing, ever! Due to the rain, everyone was under a tent. And everyone was dancing and singing! Even the bartender got in on the fun! Oh, and we have to mention the amazing photos. Emma and Josh did a fantastic job capturing all those beautiful shots!

April was filled with Ink & Rose Events past and future brides. We hosted our first annual Bridal Brunch. This was such a lovely event with some delicious food by The Spotted Hen. We spend so much time with our brides leading up to their weddings. Once it’s over, it almost feels like a breakup. Being able to see our past brides at this event was so refreshing and we loved hanging out with them.

May brought us the wedding of Krista and Elliott. We are still on a wedding high from this one and are so happy for them as they recently welcomed their first child. You can read more about their wedding here.

In June, we partnered with a fellow planner and got to help coordinate a wedding in Paso Robles. We had SO much fun and made a new forever friend. We have had the pleasure of working with our new friend and her couples at Harley Botanica. This venue is absolutely stunning and it’s now one of our favorite venues.
2019 also included coordinating a few nonprofit events. We partnered with Chef Michelle & Company and worked with The Friends of the L.A. River and Friends of the Bellona Wetlands. These events were inspiring and we got to work behind the scenes with catering. We also worked with Love our City Pasadena on their first annual holiday event.
On top of everything else, our team grew! We have added an associate planner to our roster! Can’t wait to share more about her very soon!
This year brought us a couple of engagement parties and a grand opening event for a local interior designer. We also partnered with local animal rescue, Hand in Paw and donate 10% of our profits to them.
We want to give a special thank you to the couples who trusted in us. We are so honored and humbled that they put the biggest and most important day of their lives in the hands of our team. Without you, we would not be where we are today. Cheers to you!
Being a wedding and event planner may seem like a fun and easy job…and it is (the fun part). But, it also takes patience, strength, a good attitude and lots of attention to detail. We have learned a lot this year and we are so grateful for all the opportunities. 2020 is going to be bigger and greater! We can’t wait!
All in all, we have had a pretty amazing 2019. And, we can’t complain one bit.
Here’s to a prosperous 2020!
